Saturday June 4th was the Volcom's Howler Monkey Fish's Surf Series set to start at 7AM in Playa Jaco. This contest will feature categories of Girls 17 & Under, Juniors 15-17, Groms 14 & Under, and Squids 10 & Under. For more information: email vqsinfo@volcom.com RESULTS: Volcom's Howler Monkey Fish Surf Playa Jaco was a huge success! The first VQS Costa Rica event was held in Playa Jaco June 11 & 12, 2011 and kids under the age of 17 were out in full force. The newly added Howler Monkey Fish Surf event to the VQS Tour was definitely a hit here in the Central Pacific zone. It was amazing to see all of the community come out and to watch all the locals rip it up. The first final in the water was the Squids and it was super entertaining. Lots of young, fresh talent from Costa Rica.
