For those who want to check out some of the typical Costa Rican food from the local sodas, the following are just a few to choose from for the local flavor.  Soda Garabito (2643-2929) , 600 meters east of Pops in front of Premier Dental Care Center.  Soda Rustico (2643-2117) is 75 meters west from Pancho Villa Restaurant, next to El Hicaco Restaurant and Soda Memon (2643-0404), next to Red Cross Jaco, right across from Yumy restaurant are two local sodas located within walking distance of downtown Jaco.

MID AUGUST, GILBERT BROWN OPENED A RESTAURANT IN JACO SERVING CARRIBEAN STYLE FOOD FOR SURFERS!  WITH HIS SISTER GABRIELA AND HIS MOM "MANGA". CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WOK RESTAURANT! THEY RENEWED THEIR MEMBERSHIP TO THE CENTRAL PACIFIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.  Lee & Leslie Brouwer have a healthy alternative place to grab Asian food in Jaco.   The Wok is open serving Asian style stir-fry including tofu and is located next to Budget Rent-A-Car.  Take out is available by calling 2643-6168.  The Wok is open everyday except Sunday. Also, they will close all October month.

EL BOHIO IS LOCATED ON CALLE BOHIO OCEANFRONT AND SERVES BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER.  THIS IS A GREAT SPOT TO CATCH THE SUNSET IN THE CENTER OF JACO BEACH!
