Garabito welcomes the best 80 surfers from the following 5 Central America countries: Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama and Costa Rica.  The contest is set to have 5 categories: Open, Ladies, Junior, Boys and Longboard.  Schedule is as follows: Thursday December 1st: There will be an opening Parade down the main street of Jaco and the Sands Ceremony will be held in the Central Park in Jacó. Friday December 2nd: The start of the competition in front of Backyard Hotel in Playa Hermosa.

Johnny Dread transcends Reggae music with a blend of world beat rhythms indicative of his undeniable rebel soul.  He is a self-taught drummer, who has captivated audiences stretching from the United States across Europe and South America.  A fan-favorite, his live powerful and soul-wrenching performances have been in front of pleased audiences as great as 25,000 people. Johnny Dread has performed for the Montreal Jazz Festival and was the opening artist of Israel Vibration’s France Tour.

This is a show not to be missed in Jaco Beach!
 

The Pura Vida No Pro Surf will be held on Saturday, November 20th, 2010 from 7:30am to 5pm in Pelican Hotel, Playa Esterillos Este, COSTA RICA.  Volunteers are Welcome!!!    Participation Fee is 5,000 colones per volunteer.
