Falcon International School Announces Summer Schedule

Falcon International School will be offering Summer camps from June 27th thru July 15th.  (3 weeks Monday-Friday from 8AM to noon) for children 6-10 years of age with Teacher Vanessa.  Cost is $300.  Falcon will also be offering Intensive Mandarin (Mon, Wed & Fri from 12:30-4PM Cost $150)  and High School Math (Tues & Thurs 8AM-11AM Cost $150)  and Science (Mon & Wed 8AM-11AM Cost $150) classes July 4th-July 28th.  For more information, contact: 2637-7400 or email admin@falconicr.com.

Falcon School Selected To Host Chinese Nationals To Teach Chinese In Their Pre K-12 Program

LOCATED IN HERRADURA, FALCON HAS BEEN SELECTED BY THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT AS THE FIRST PRE K-12 PROGRAM IN COSTA RICA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HUNAN PROGRAM.  One part of this program consists of the selected institution hosting Chinese nationals to teach Chinese language, culture and customs to the students.  Falcon International School will be home to two new teachers from China who are expected to arrive in mid May, Fangfang Xie and Yuanyuan Shen.  This is a very important recognition earned by Falcon International School and compliments very well their Global Learning Center concept.   Already recognized by the Ministry of public Education for K – 11, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and winner of the Blue F

Grupo C.I.N.C.O helps schools in the Garabito district

CENTRAL PACIFIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OFFERS A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO ONE OF OUR MEMBERS Proyecto C.I.N.C.O for their program “CARING for a HEART” project in which it was possible the delivery of uniforms and school supplies to under privileged students in the primary schools in the Garabito area. News From the Falcon School

The new Library of Jaco is looking for volunteers and donations.

LIBRARY OF JACO NEEDS volunteers for: label books/make labels, enter the books into their system, translate English info into Spanish, sewing projects (bean  bag chairs, hand puppets, book holders to hang on the wall with clear plastic pockets), organizing committees ( fundraiser, activities, workshops, English, photography, health…), help man the library while they are on their trip.

HELP WITH THE CHAMBER'S EDUCATION PROJECT

THE CENTRAL PACIFIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND ONE OF OUR MEMBERS: PROYECTO C.I.N.C.O HAVE JOINED EFFORTS TO HELP THE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IN NEED IN GARABITO. The project "Caring for a Heart" (Cuidando un Corazón) was created to help those children who are attending school without a full uniform and with little school supplies. The cost to sponsor a student is $20 or any help would be most welcome.

The Chamber is looking for volunteers for English Program

The Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce has organized English lessons again for Fuerza Publica under Head Volunteer: Virginia Armitage.  The classes began last week and will continue for the next 3 months.  The Chamber is looking for volunteers to help with the program.  If you would like to help with this cause, please contact the Chamber at 2643-2853

Falcon School Offering Discount thru january 15th 2011

As their holiday gift to the community, Falcon International School is offering students looking to make the transfer from other schools to Falcon a discount of $500.00 off the Family fee now through January 15th 2011.  Falcon is the only internationally accredited school in the province and is recognized by the Ministry of Education through 9th grade.   Falcon is the only high school in the community currently in process of receiving recognition from the MEP for the Costa Rican high school diploma.  For more information please contact at 2637-7400 or send an e-mail to bod@falconicr.c

CONGRATULATIONS TO KEN SOTO, HE IS A NEW MEMBER OF THE CENTRAL PACIFIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Ken is a English and Spanish teacher, a translator and a bilingual interpreter.  Ken is organizing a Spanish Workshop for Central Pacific residents-- new comers and beginners. The activity will be held on Friday June 4th and Saturday June 5th, 2010 at Balcón del Mar Hotel , Central Jacó. The cost of this Workshop is $230.00 per person (2 days), $415 per couple (2 days), or $115 for a one day workshop. Discounts are given for groups of 5 or more (paid in advance) and early registrations. Members of the Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce receive a 10% discount.

CONGRATULATION TO THE FOLLOWING EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF GARABITO, WHICH WON STARS FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE ECOLOGICAL BLUE FLAG PROGRAM.  The following schools received 3 stars:  Quebrada Ganado School, Herradura School, Lider de Tarcoles School, Falcon International School and Lider Central de Jacó School.  Quebrada Ganado Secondary School received 2 stars, and Capulín School, Republica de Guayana School and Quebrada Amarilla School all received 1 star.
